Primulina, or Asian violets, (formerly called Chirita) are in the Gesneriaceae family, related to African violets. The Loki, was hybridized by Peter Shalit, Seattle, WA. (P. brassicoides x P. dryas ‘Latifolia Dwarf’) in 2004. From what I can find, the curly version is a mutation found by Vicky at Gary’s Specialty Plants in 2015.
Primulinas are easy to grow and prefer bright, indirect light or grow lights. The bell shaped flowers are violet in color.
The plant in the photo is similar to the one you will receive. It is in a six-inch hanging basket. The price is an introductory offering to discern if there is a market and how they can be packed and travel.
